Presence As A Prayer - Rooted, Open, Here

In a world that moves quickly, true presence has become a sacred act.

Whether you’re sitting in ceremony, holding space for another, or simply sharing tea with a friend, being fully present in a conversation is a great gift we can offer.

Presence is the medicine. It’s what allows the heart to open, the nervous system to soften, and the soul to feel seen.

As part of the work I do in retreats, circles, and sound journeys, I often return to the simple yet profound practice of deep listening. So today, I’m sharing with you a few reminders—tools to anchor yourself in the now and cultivate more meaningful connections in your conversations:

🌬️ Come to the Breath

The breath is the first bridge between Spirit and body. Before speaking or responding, take a conscious inhale and exhale. This sacred pause invites you to land fully in the moment. Feel it move through your body. It only takes a moment, but it can shift everything.

🧍🏽‍♀️ Root in the Body

Your body is your altar. When you’re anchored in your physical body — especially your feet, spine, and hips — you’re less likely to get pulled into reaction, projection, or distraction. Notice your feet on the ground. Your spine. The weight of your hands. When your body is present, your energy follows.

👁️ Gentle Eye Contact

True presence doesn’t require staring or intensity — just a soft gaze that says, “I see you.” In ceremonial or emotional spaces, this eye contact becomes a silent prayer of connection. Look softly. Witness without judgment. Allow yourself to truly see and be seen.

🔔 Listen Without Needing to Fix

When someone speaks from the soul, they don’t need a solution. They need space to be heard, witnessed, and held. Your job is not to solve — it is to stay. Let go of what you’ll say next. Don’t rescue, redirect, or solve. Just be with what is.

🌿 Use a Grounding Tool

A stone, mala bead, or small rattle in your lap can act as a tether—calling you back when your mind wanders.

🕊️ Allow Emotion

If tears come, let them. If silence arrives, welcome it.
Sacred space isn’t always filled with words.

Presence is not about perfection—it’s about return.
Return to the breath. Return to the body. Return to the moment. Again and again.

This is part of what we practice in my retreats and sound journeys. We root deeply into Earth, open to Spirit, and meet each other in the place between—where transformation happens.

If you’re feeling called to explore this work more deeply, I invite you to join one of our upcoming events or reach out to connect. Presence begins with intention. And your intention is powerful.

If these practices speak to your heart—if you’re yearning for deeper connection, grounded presence, and the listening that nourishes the soul—then I invite you to take the next step.

✨ Come sit in circle.
✨ Step into sacred ceremony.
✨ Root into the Earth. Flow with the Waters. Remember who you are.

Join me at one of my upcoming retreats or shamanic sound journeys where we practice this kind of embodied presence together—in rhythm, in stillness, in Spirit.

Let’s walk this sacred path—awake, grounded, and open.
