When I turned 32, my world was devastated by the loss of my mother to ovarian cancer. It was difficult, as the news of her diagnosis sent shock waves throughout my entire being. I was initially consumed by despair, not just for my mother but for myself. I feared for her life and mine, and that would be my fate.
Amid my grief, I searched for answers to the most profound questions that arose within me. How could I survive this loss? How could I deal with my fear and uncertainty? Was my fate already determined, or did I have the power to shape my destiny? What was the purpose of life, and what was I meant to do with mine?
For over three decades, I have dedicated myself to expanding my knowledge and spiritual growth. My journey took me in many different directions. I studied Eastern and Esoteric Mysticism, traditional and esoteric Astrology, energy medicine Sacred Contracts with Dr. Caroline Myss, and I have immersed myself in the teachings of the nagual tradition.
In my quest to deepen my connection to my native roots (the Tarahumara), I have embarked on an apprenticeship with a respected Medicine Man in Arizona City. Through this apprenticeship, I am gaining invaluable insights into the ancient practices and wisdom of the nagual, learning how to tap into the energies of the natural world and harness them for healing and transformation.
My journey as a nagual apprentice has been a transformative one, as I delve into the mysteries of the spiritual realm and explore the interconnectedness of all living beings. With each passing day, I find myself more attuned to the subtle energies that surround me, sharpening my intuition and honing my ability to navigate the unseen realms of existence.
Through my devotion and commitment to my path as a nagual apprentice, I am not only deepening my understanding of my native heritage but also discovering new depths of wisdom and insight within myself.

Teresa is a mother of two remarkable women and grandmother to four beautiful young men. She is an Ironman finisher and lifelong athlete. She loves being in nature and finding feathers for her native medicine practices. Her ancestors, the Tarahumara Indians, are from the Copper Canyons in Durango, Mexico.
